Here is How a Personal Brand Works

You’ve just read that a proper personal brand controls the first impression that other people make of you. This means you can position yourself to easily walk into a larger role, with more impact and responsibility, and with more compensation

But the second thing, what the personal brand does TO you, is much more profound, and it enables the first thing.

The result of a fantastically-crafted brand can be a true transformation in how you perceive yourself and your value in the job market. For many of our clients, this is almost like a rite of passage.

In many indigenous cultures, people get a new name after a period of time spent alone, often in a vision quest. It can be a lonely and frightening experience. This is not that dissimilar to an executive job search, where a move up requires that you change the title on your resume before you even get an interview.

To do that, you must truly believe in this bigger version of yourself. And to believe it, you must go through the process that enables that new belief.
