Quick Tip: Take Every Interview You Can Get

Feb 24, 2022 3:30:00 PM

Today I want to share with you a quick tip about interviews.

You’re probably getting calls from recruiters on occasion. Maybe you don’t like the role, or you’re not really interested in the job title or the company, so you turn down the interview.

I want you to take the interview anyway. Don’t wait until it really matters to do your first interview! Go ahead and use it as free practice. You can always say no at any time.

Next time a recruiter asks you to interview or wants to present you to an employer, even if you’re not interested in the role or the company, take the interview.

This will help you find out which of your stories land really well and which stories fall flat. You can start to learn how to ask questions of the interviewer in the first 10 minutes of the conversation, rather than just passively waiting until the end. You’ll also be able to figure out how to tailor your introduction and how you wrap up the interview.
